The short: Don't be afraid to do it.

The long: The general rule of thumb is, the more buffs you hunt with the better (if buffs weren't good, why would you ever use them). As long as you continue to profit from your hunt, get even more out of it by getting buffs. Of course, don't be afraid to ask your guild mates (if available), but if necessary get out there and buy what you need.
